10/13/2016: – We all have to start out of somewhere.
Choose a book that got you into reading.
Since I’m pretty sure we’ve already done this topic, I am going to switch it
up a bit. For this weeks Book Traveling Thursday, I am going to chose a book…
well in this case an Author that got me into reading Non Fiction/Memoirs. For
this I chose Augusten Burroughs, and I’ve already used my favorite book from him
(A Wolf At The Table)in a previous BTT, so this time around I am going with
Running With Scissors. I can’t remember if I watched the movie or not,
but seeing as I did enjoy the book, I guess I can give it a go. 🙂
Â
1.) US 2.) German.
My favorite is the US cover. I just love it. I would love the German
cover even more if the font was a different color. The Bright colors just
aren’t for me. It would be better if they were white or gray.

1.) Romanian 2.) Movie Cover 3.) Italian 4.) Czech
At first I thought the Romanian cover was going to be the worst, but
then I saw the Czech cover! What is that monstrosity!? Who decided that,
THAT cover was good?! I’m sorry I’m being mean, but I just don’t get it.
I need to get back into reading Memoirs. What are some
of your favorites? I would love to know, so I can check them out!
Let me know down in the comments! 😀

I love these posts! This week Top 5 Wednesday did bad covers. So fun to see design train wrecks.
That Czech cover is a disaster…an absolute disaster.
Total!
I love the US cover, the orange/ yellows and the way the text is laid out is lovely.
I tagged you in the New York Times “By the Book” tag I hope you enjoy! https://loisreadsbooks.wordpress.com/2016/10/13/the-new-york-times-by-the-book-tag/
Thanks! 😀 I’ve already done this tag so I’ll add you to the post!
Thank you!
The Czech, Italian and Romanian covers are just horrible?
I’ve never read this, is a chicken hanging itself actually have anything to do with the book?
The Czech cover looks like a kid with his hand down his pants, just saying!
Hahahaha! I don’t remember anything about a chicken!!!!
It’s so weird..
Very! 🙂
I haven’t heard of this book, but I loooove German cover. Looks pretty interesting.
you chosen pretty bad covers though..the Movie cover got me laughing. that little hand with legs is so funny!
