Book: Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern.
Synopsis: Born with cerebral palsy, Amy can’t walk without a walker, talk without a voice box, or even fully control her facial expressions. Plagued by obsessive-compulsive disorder, Matthew is consumed with repeated thoughts, neurotic rituals, and crippling fear. Both in desperate need of someone to help them reach out to the world, Amy and Matthew are more alike than either ever realized.
When Amy decides to hire student aides to help her in her senior year at Coral Hills High School, these two teens are thrust into each other’s lives. As they begin to spend time with each other, what started as a blossoming friendship eventually grows into something neither expected.
The Rules:
- Grab a book, any book.
- Turn to page 56 or 56% in you E-Reader. (If you have to improvise, that’s okay.)
- Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
- Post it.
- Add your URL post below in the Linky. (Add the post URL, not your blog URL.)
The 56:
“Look, I’ll admit the book was interesting and it had some things I recognized, but I’m not anything like those people. I’m not about to start taking medication or go to some doctor and tell him all this stuff.”
“IF YOU DON’T WANT HELP, WHY DID YOU TELL ME?
“Because I know you. And I like you.” He didn’t say: And I thought I was responsible for all your problems..
