I’ve seen this book tag going around for a while now, and I was thinking about doing, but I never got to it. Since I’ve actually been tagged, that means I HAVE to do it now…No excuses. BIG THANKS to Michelle @ A Half Blood Fangirl, for the tag! If you haven’t already, go check out her blog, it’s great! 😀
The Rules:
- Randomly choose 3 books. (Use the ‘random’ option on your Goodreads read shelf. Thanks for that tip, it makes this so much easier)
- For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread. (A lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill.)
- Repeat until you completed three rounds (or five)
Round #1:
Burn: Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin. I’m sorry but this book was SO DISAPPOINTING! It had the potential to be great, but the main character was such an Ass Hat! I couldn’t stand her at all! I liked the whole afterlife idea, but it was kind of ruined when I read that the author doesn’t even believe in the after life…Then why write about it?
Rewrite: In Zanesville by Jo Ann Beard. This book could have been so great, if there was an actual point or taught a life lesson. I just felt like I wasted my time reading this book, and if I rewrote it, I would make sure there was an actual point to the story.
Reread: The Goats by Brock Cole. This was such a great book! I didn’t even know it was a book at first. One day I came across a movie called Standing Up, while searching Netflix. I watched it, and and LOVED it. Then I Googled it, and found out it was a book, so I HAD to read it! Both are too good to pass up, so if you haven’t already, read the book and watch the movie!
Round #2:
Burn: Tragedy Girl by Christine Hurley Deriso. I was so disappointed in this book. There was too much going on. And ALL of the characters were melodramatic.
Reread: Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Even though I am not a big fan of St. Clair, I would have to read this book again…How can I not? All of Stephanie Perkins books are great reads!
Rewrite: The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak. I would rewrite this book and make it less unrealistic. All that was happening in Stella’s life, came to easy.
Round #3:
Burn:Â Sweet Liar by Debra Doxer. This book just wasn’t my cup of tea. I wanted to try something new, but sadly this book didn’t really do anything for me. So I’ll have to burn it!
Rewrite:Â Â Sweethearts by Sara Zarr. I actually liked this book a lot. The only thing I would have to change, is the ending. Homeboy wouldn’t be going anywhere!
Reread: Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I love the book, and I love the movie! They are both cute…Creepy, but cute! 🙂
That was fun! Thanks again to Michelle, for the tag! 😀
