Music Monday|January 4th, 2016|Funny Girl.

First things first, I would like to say that I learned about Barbra Streisand from one of my favorite people in the world…THE NANNY!

I knew that if Fran loved her, then she HAD to be great!
Yeah yeah, I know it’s dumb to based whether or not I would
love Barbra on the fact that The Nanny loved her, but I was
a kid…and dumb, so what did I know? Thankfully as I got older,
I learned for myself how truly AMAZING Barbra Streisand is.

One day out of no where I was like, I’m FINALLY gonna sit down and have a
Barbra marathon. Of course I already watched and LOVED her in
Meet The Fockers, but I NEEDED to watch some of her classics, like
Funny Girl, and the ever so heartbreaking Yentl. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!?

Anyways, here are two of my favorite performances from Funny Girl.
Enjoy! 🙂

I’m The Greatest Star performed by Barbra Streisand.
Funny Girl, 1968.

Funny Girl Sequence from My Name Is Barbra, 1965.

These performances probably aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I love
musicals, I love Barbra, and I LOVED Funny Girl. If you haven’t watched it,

  1. I really loved her performance in Hello Dolly! I have seen a lot of Barbara movies, just not Yentl. Yet. My mom loves that movie along with the one with Robert Redford (can’t recall the name of the movie at the moment.).
    Nice post
