Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line Review.

Book: Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line.

Written By: Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham.

Pages: 324.

Synopsis: (From Book) “Ten years after graduating from high school in Neptune, California, Veronica Mars is back in the land of sun, sand, crime, and corruption. She’s traded in her law degree for her old private investigating license, struggling to keep Mars Investigations afloat on the scant cash earned by catching cheating spouses until she can score her first big case.

Now it’s spring break, and college students descend on Neptune, transforming the beaches and boardwalks into a frenzied, week-long rave. When a girl disappears from a party, Veronica is called in to investigate. But this is no simple missing person’s case; the house the girl vanished from belongs to a man with serious criminal ties, and soon Veronica is plunged into a dangerous underworld of drugs and organized crime. And when a major break in the investigation has a shocking connection to Veronica’s past, the case hits closer to home than she ever imagined.”

My Thoughts: First of all can I just say that I LOVE VERONICA MARS. When it was on TV I was kind of out of the loop and my sisters loved it and talked about it all the time. I finally got into it when it was already canceled (BOOOO!!) and after the first episode I was hooked. After watching the final season I was left with an empty feeling. It’s like every good show I like gets canceled yet there are all of these lame shows that run for like 9 years and don’t even deserve to. What is wrong with people!?

Anyways, When I heard there was actually gonna be a V Mars movie I almost died but then I read that it was just a idea that probably wouldn’t happen. I was crushed. So after years of nothing new from Veronica Mars I saw the Movie trailer and almost burst into tears! (Dramatic I know..) At that time I also found out about the Veronica Mars book! I picked it up right away. I had to fight myself because I really wanted to read the book but, I wanted to save it until after I watched the movie. So March came along and I watched the Movie and it was the best Movie I have seen so far this year. I Love Veronica Mars. 🙂

Usually when a book follows behind another book or a movie, you have to have read or watched them to understand what is going on. Not with this book, I think the Authors did a great job going over what happened without really going deep into it.

At first I felt like it was slow, and I was afraid that I wasn’t going to like it. I really wanted to like it, so I stuck with it and it ended up being AMAZING! Everything fit together so well. I loved how they kept all the characters from the show in the book. I was scared that I wasn’t gonna hear anything from Dick’s smart ass, but he arrived right on time, and it’s funny because he came when I thought he would. I also love how nothing has changed between Veronica, Mac, and Wallace, even after all these years apart, they are still right there for each other. They are still best friends. While reading I felt like I was watching the show. Even though I felt it was slow in the beginning, I give The Million Dollar Tan Line 5 Stars. How can I not? It is Veronica Mars after all.

5Stars
