March 2014 Wrap Up.

WRAPUP2016

I know its a bit (or a lot) late but here is my March Wrap Up.

Sadly I only read 2 books in March. I probably won’t go into them that much but here they are:

  • First book I read was The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath:  Before reading this book I was a little iffy about it. I heard a lot of different things about it and one of those things is that it was VERY sad and depressing. Even though I do like to read sad books, it kind of scared me for some reason. That being said, I kept putting off buying it. But then everywhere I’d look, I’d see it. The Bell Jar was calling my name! So one day I said enough was enough and I picked it up from Barnes and Noble. I bought the 50th Anniversary edition and I love the cover. This picture doesn’t do it any justice. The letters are nice and shiny. It’s so pretty. Anyways I read the book and I really enjoyed it. The story wasn’t as sad as I thought it was going to be. Don’t get me wrong, it was still sad, but not as sad. Now The Bell Jar has become one of my favorites. I cant wait to re-read. I gave it 5 stars on Goodreads.
  • The Second book I read in March was Divergent:  Everyone should know what Divergent is or at least her the name. At first I was also Skeptical about this book. I heard good and bad things about it. The movie came out in March and I really want to see it so I decided to read the book before I see the movie. If there is a book and a movie most of the time I like to read the book first. Sometimes I find out its a book after I watch the movie so I read it after. I also read the Hunger Games Trilogy before the movies so I also wanted the same experience with Divergent. Anyways, I did like the book. It was a little slow at the beginning but picked up soon after. One thing I didn’t really like is the fact that all the main action happened in the last like five chapters. Other than that it was a good and easy read. I think I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads.

My goal for April is to read at least 4 books.
